Tonu

The Tonu is a mix between a rhinoceros and a lion. The Tonu is covered by a thick coat of skin which helps it to repel any attack with ease. They are strong and sturdy creatures capable of carrying heavy loads and traveling great distances. However, they are Limited Edition pets, with less than 300,000 of them ever created. Users can purchase Morphing Potions to turn their existing Neopet into a Tonu. However, this is a very expensive proposition.

In Tyrannia, there is a giant egg which provides omelets for all the pets. The inhabitants depend on the omelet whenever they feel hungry. There is a rumor in Neopia that every time the Giant Omelet runs out, a few number of Tonus are released.

General Dacon is a Tonu who appears in the Lost Desert plot. He is the leader of the Sakhmetian army. He is well respected for his loyalty, bravery and fighting spirit. He also helps fight crime on the streets of Neopia. General Dacon features in the Gallery of Heroes in Neopia.

Wial Benne is a Tonu playing as Left Forward on the Tyrannia team. Even though she is extremely talented, she has never quite lived up to the expectations. However, ever since she has joined the Tyrannia team, she has fit in perfectly to the job that she has been assigned. It seems that she finally has a stable career ahead of her.
