Peophin

The Peophins started out as limited edition Neopets, but their popularity was such that the creators decided to make this pet more widely available. The Peophin is a mysterious species that lives in the water. They are supposed to possess great magical powers and anyone who owns them is likely to have good fortune. The peophin is unlike any other neopet; they are a proud species and are said to possess royal blood. In appearance, they are a curious mix of unicorns and fish.

Helmo Timm is a Peophin who plays in the Altador Cup as a Left Forward for Kiko Lake. A brilliant player, Helmo has suffered recently due to some injuries which have jeopardized his career. However, he is on the road to recovery and will join the team soon. Peopatra is one Peophin who runs Peopatra's Pet Pets, a shop in the Lost Desert world.

Marak is a Peophin who appeared in the plots, Neopets: The Darkest Faeirie and the Altador Plot. Marak is a strong leader and is respected by all Peophins. The Book of Ages has a detailed example of one of the examples of Marak's strong leadership skills. The normally peaceful Peophins once had a violent disagreement with a town of fishermen. After both sides had exhausted fought hard, Marak went ashore and spoke with the fishermen's leader. He reasoned that fighting would not take them anywhere and it was best to learn to co-exist. Persuaded by Marak, the town leader agreed to work to find a peaceful solution.
