Lupe

The Lupe is a product of the "create-a-pet" competition held in Neopia, in which creating a new pet helps users to earn 50 Neopoints. Lupes are a curious mix of wolves and dogs. They have the qualities of bravery and loyalty, which makes them very popular amongst users. Lupes are outgoing creatures and love to explore new territories with their friends. Lupes are common characters in Neopian games and plots.

"Squeaky" Tressif is one of the Lupes who plays in the Altador Cup as a Left Defender for Brightvale. "Squeaky" plays hard and sticks to the rules. However, his "squeakiness" has made him the butt of countless practical jokes by his mischievous teammates. Balthazar is a Lupe who captures Faeries by tricking them. Balthazar has a long enmity with Faeries which goes back to his childhood days. He now takes his revenge on them by capturing and selling them off. Balthazar lacks any healing skills, but he does have a large hit point count, which makes him quite an asset.

There is a mysterious figure in Neopia known only as the Ghost Lupe. According to some accounts, the Ghost Lupe is the ghost of a young Lupe named Sylva, who was amongst the crew of an old ship which set sail approximately two hundred years ago. There are various legends about the Ghost Lupe, but no one has actually seen it. The Ghost Lupe now wanders through the jungles of Mystery Island.
