Hissi

Hissis are fierce-looking snake-like pets. However, what makes them different from snakes is that they have a pair of wings. Hissis are extremely rare pets and are found with great difficulty in Neopia. Users have to purchase Transmogrification Potion in order to convert their existing pets into Hissis. Although most Hissis are "non-cuddly", some of them are quite cute. Hissis are swift and have keen sensations of smell and vision. Every day on May 4th, Neopia celebrates Hissi Day.

Kastraliss is the Hissi of The Darkest Faerie who was introduced in the Defenders of neopia plot.. Layton Vickles is a Hissi who plays in 2006's Altador Cup as a Left Forward for Darigan Citadel. Since he has incredible powers of slipping and slithering, he is extremely difficult to guard for the rival defenders. His ability to fake and feint his moves makes him a very dangerous opponent.

Hissis are Limited Edition pets, meaning that they only appear in Neopia in a set population, making owning one more valuable to a user. There are only about 200,000 Hissis ever created.
