Grundo

Grundos are unusual pets that do not belong to Neopia originally. They worked at the technological mecca of Neopia, the Virtupets Space Station. Unfortunately, they were kidnapped by the evil Dr. Sloth to work on the Space Station. However, the Space Faerie destroyed his mass mutation ray in the Arrival of Virtupets plot, which led to the escape of Grundos into Neopia. Grundos are extremely popular because of their ability to travel in space.

Qyldae Wegg is a Grundo who plays in 2006's Altador Cup as a Left Forward for team Kreludor. Even though he is a good player, he is best known for the blunder in which he flung the Yooyuball into his own team's net, an error that led to his own team's defeat. The Spider Grundo is a Grundo that was mutated Dr. Frank Sloth's Transmogrification Potion. The Spider Grundo has some great fighting qualities courtesy of his powers of Damage Shield, Individual Healing, and Celestial Hammer.

Gorix is a freedom fighter Grundo who believes that Dr Sloth will come back one day and try to recapture all the Grundos. During Dr. Sloth's latest invasion, Gorix was forced to flee the Virtupets Space Station. Gorix is a green Grundo who is actually quite dim-witted (like most Grundos), but he is one of the heroes of the Grundo community.

Grundos are amongst the ten most popular Neopets, with over 6 million of them being created. They are featured in 172 different items and are available in 38 different colors.
