Gelert

Even though Gelerts have been changed and updated many times over the years, they are basically a species of dogs. Like real-life dogs, they are loyal to their owners and are very brave. No matter how you feel, a Gelert's company is sure to cheer you up, who will do anything possible to please you and be your friend.

Bruno is a Gelert who as part of the Tale of Woe plot. Bruno was once a handsome Gelert, but was mutated by a potion he bought from Mr. Krawley. This was the result of Bruno's desire to become even more handsome and strong. Un fortunately for him, this desire was to be his downfall; the magic potion had some adverse effects which led to his present-day appearance. Another Gelert who is quite popular is Kanrik, leader of the Thieves Guild. He first appeared in the plot, Hannah and the Ice Caves. In the plot, Kanrik defeated Galem and usurped his place as leader of the Thieves Guild.

Tandrak Shaye is a Gelert who plays in 2006's Altador Cup as a Right Forward for Darigan Citadel. Tandrak scored the first and only goal for Darigan Citadel in the finals against Haunted Woods. The Gelert world also has The Three, a unique set of ghostly pets that represent the vices of Greed, Ambition, and Revenge. The Three were featured as a trading card in the Battle for Meridell plot.

Gelerts are known for the love of children and their families. They are very protective around children and keep them out of harm's way.
