Flotsam

Flotsams are Neopets that resemble a mix of fish and dolphins. Flotsams enjoy swimming and are very swift in response to any danger. What makes them quite similar to dolphins is the fact that they are not able to breathe when underwater and have to com e to the surface at short intervals to breathe.

Filo Desenz is the most popular Flotsam who plays as Left Defender on the Maraqua team in the 2006 Altador Cup. Filo is known for being a fierce competitor on the field. The other Flotsam who is popular with users is the Underwater Chef. The Underwater Chef is "constantly looking for help with all these strange recipes and requests". The Underwater Chef loves to cook. Despite his occasional grumbling about his job, he is a jovial pet and is much loved among the FLotsam community.

While the Flotsams are the honest pets, there is a separate species that also lives in the ocean along with them. These are the Jetsams, who are regarded as pirates or gangsters of the sea. Even though their reputation is less than flattering, these creatures are very popular because their days are filled with excitement and adventure.
